Unveiling game-changing wearable tech | Pattie Maes

This demo — from Pattie Maes’ lab at MIT, spearheaded by Pranav Mistry — was the buzz of TED. It’s a wearable device with a projector that paves the way for profound interaction with our environment. Imagine “Minority Report” and then some.

Sounds like a fantastic way to get hit by a bus. Thanks for the info.
2019 have not seen it yet, the iPhone 11 is the hot item.
More information won't help my life. Only needed information. Or shedding useless information is the help in need.
Elon Musk and Pranav working together would put technology on new level
I honestly don’t know whether to be impressed or scared! 😱
This is AMAZING!!! We are SO LUCKY to be alive to see this technology actually happening!!!!!
i think there is no doubt that the past 10 years might be the fasest developed decade which came through the whole technological industry, sich as iPhone, Android, VR, AR, 5g, etc.
Pranav Mistry is most probably working for the government.
This device is indeed fantastic!
Lad
Excellent work.
A whole decade later and thing is completely MIA.
I wonder why.
I imagine this with with 10 years worth of upgrades.
It would have been interesting to see this go further.
Been 10 years. Gotta scrub for new info every once in a while. This repost of the original has never been done before. The original WAS sort of grainy and old. I see the flaws in it now, but I would love to see this genious, NIKOLA TESLA level tech, come to the masses
You never own "the thing."
"The thing" owns YOU.
The future is even less Life-affirming than the past.
How holly jolly these people were, 10 years ago, before Facebook sold 'em all out.
We already possess the so called 6th sense, it just got lost as we built more secure environments, towns, cities, later on the industrial age and now the 21st century – we got lazy and stopped using it.
Although sometimes it 'activates', most often in 'fight or flight' situations. Our nearest pet animals have that sense – we have a LOT to learn from them.
So many "uhs"
this is an awesome invention pranav!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's almost 10 years…
I believe that our reliance on digital technology is robbing us of developing our innate abilities, such as telepathy, astral travel and telekinesis to name a few. "We are spirits living in a material world." Best wishes
ummm I actually do google toilet paper brands immediately before I purchase
What would its battery life be?
Pranav Indian guy also that's my name "PRANAV" 😍😍
Now what about the tattoo app that they are pushing out.
The model "t" was, although cute and ok for its time, was clunky and slow and with few extras. So it is with technology. Lots of ideas are out there now and the biggest object to thier implementation is that they will be obsolete by the time they reach the drawing board even.
Technology helping us make more decisions for us than it does already? No thanks I'd rather keep my free will
A horrifying look in to a modern Black Mirror.
Almost ten years later and amazing why no one has taken this idea and run with it???
Next year will be the tenth year.
This is hands down the least interesting ted talk I've ever seen. And who cares which toilet paper is most economical? By what? 3 cents?
Why not make something that augments the brain power of humans like the one that prof X wears. It's not that far off…all these gimmicky so called techs is so slow…
[Solomon] said, "O assembly [of jinn], which of you will bring me her throne before they come to me in submission?"
A powerful one from among the jinn said, "I will bring it to you before you rise from your place, and indeed, I am for this [task] strong and trustworthy."
Said one who had knowledge from the Scripture, "I will bring it to you before your glance returns to you. (The Noble Quran. Surah An Naml. Verse 38-40)
There were many technologically advanced people in the old tribes. But they were destroyed because of their sins.
Have they not seen how many generations We destroyed before them which We had established upon the earth as We have not established you? And We sent [rain from] the sky upon them in showers and made rivers flow beneath them; then We destroyed them for their sins and brought forth after them a generation of others. (The Noble Quran. Surah Al An'am. Verse 6)

The purpose of our life is that:
English: And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me. (The Noble Quran. Surah Adh Dhariyat. Verse 56)
Germany: Und Ich habe die Ginn und die Menschen nur darum erschaffen, damit sie Mir dienen (sollen)
French: Je n'ai créé les djinns et les hommes que pour qu'ils M'adorent.
It is Allah who erected the heavens without pillars that you [can] see; then He established Himself above the Throne and made subject the sun and the moon, each running [its course] for a specified term. He arranges [each] matter; He details the signs that you may, of the meeting with your Lord, be certain. (The Noble Quran. Surah Ar Ra'd. Verse 2)
