If you receive “The system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation” error message when trying to install any new program or modify existing program in Windows 10/8/7, this video is for you.

1. Try installing the program/software by running the setup file as administrator.

2. Make sure Windows Installer service is running in Services snap-in

3. Temporarily turn off the third-party antivirus you’re using, if any.

4. Temporarily turn off and disable User Account Control (UAC) and try installing your program/software.
If none of these tips here, try run “net user administrator /active:yes” in the Command Prompt.

  1. Any method WITHOUT needing restart ? I am from hiren boot cd 16.2 which uses win 10 with limitation of installing. Such you understand, every reboot doesn't keep the settings because it is virtual operating system.

  2. Why go through all of that when the shit should work properly right out of the box especially if I’m the administrator 🤦🏽‍♂️

  3. Really helpful! My bank in China made some new security software that prevented me from accessing my account… this fix saved my butt! Many thanks!

  6. Lots of vids like this! If you're struggling to download an app or programme from other than Microsoft Store than you're probably running Windows 10 S. S for safe or security I presume. This is easily fixed. Just go to Microsoft Store and search S mode switch. And switch to Windows 10. This will allow you to download from elsewhere. Good luck.
