During Google’s extended edition opening keynote this morning, there was a distinctive lack of skydiving. However, developers showed off lots of interesting things, including functionality highlighting the easy, real-time syncing of data across multiple instances of the Chrome browser.

  • More info for some of the commenters here… the tech on show in this "big screen set up" translates to any device that can run a web browser, so mobiles devices as well as the two-screen Oculus Rift.

    This is all web tech: HTML, JavaScript, WebSockets, WebGL and Google Maps API. There's no proprietary multi-head screen sync (Eyefinity), it works on curved walls (eyefinity doesn't do anything for curves), it's designed for crowds (not single player Oculus Rift).

  • forgot to include the gloves that make you feel like you're holding something(so far only in planning and look like something that was obviously just rigged together… still useful tho) anyway yeah i wont be spending money on any more monitors either with how vr is looking recently.
