Build A Multiboot USB Drive For Free with Yumi
YUMI (Your Universal Multiboot Installer), is the successor to MultibootISOs. It can be used to create a Multiboot USB Flash Drive containing multiple operating systems, antivirus utilities, disc cloning, diagnostic tools, and more. Contrary to MultiBootISO’s which used grub to boot ISO files directly from USB, YUMI uses syslinux to boot extracted distributions stored on the USB device, and reverts to using grub to Boot Multiple ISO files from USB, if necessary.
Aside from a few distributions, all files are stored within the multiboot folder, making for a nicely organized Multiboot Drive that can still be used for other storage purposes.
Creating a YUMI Multiboot MultiSystem USB Flash Drive
YUMI works much like our Universal USB Installer, except it can be used to install more than one distribution to run from your USB. Distributions can also be uninstalled using the same tool!

Can you guide me on how to create windows (7/8/10) multimode(uefi+mbr) usb pendrive using E2B???
Hi can you help me with this yumi I downloaded the window mgr from window 8.1 iso it won't work when I plugged in to my laptop.
The problem is Yumi doesnt support multiple Windows installation ISO's.
I need help restoring primeOS to external hdd. Deleted by accidentally.
Hello Britec09
( YUMI )
I'm having problem to select a distribution for the program that I want to install on my USB drive,
For example I want to install Acronis true image/ and a program named I see password
I did not see the distribution name for these programs.
Can you please tell me what I should? Thank you…
does the iso have to be bootable for yumi to load it properly? (i've checked everywhere online) nobody will tell me, that would great to know thanks (been to long since i've loaded a flash drive) it works fine when i load windows 10, but thats already bootable… windows 7 wont seem to work? is it because it's not bootable? let me know, please and thank you . appretiate it.
One more thing I forgot to ask how do you set the ISO you want to boot from if there are a load of ISO's on the stick? For example if I have Mint as one ISO and I wnat to use the DBAN how do you set that to boot the DBAN and not something else?
As always Brian great stuff mate and I know you cannot answer everything but you picked DBAN I was just wondering how good that is??
Yumi is a piece of crap. I put 4 Windows ISOS on there. From the menu it selects the wrong ISO every time. What is up with this thing? No matter how many times i write to the usb it always loads the wrong iso when i select it, every single time no matter what. Yumi is only good for one OS then at least it knows which version i want to load/install. Dont try putting more than two on there.
I've already created one, My drive has every version of Windows from Vista and up and Slitaz and Ubuntu 17.04 along with Lubuntu 14.04
That is exactly what I want to do I want to download a fix for my pc error 0x08009002d
Error 15 file is not found while using 2 isos
GREAT man BRITEC you're!
Is there a way I can actually install an OS onto the flash drive and have yumi boot into The OS and not be live, as in be able to save files?
Lovely and simple thank you 🙂
Is it Yummy* or You-me*? I feel like Yummy sounds worse Q.Q but I guess it doesn't really matter…
Thanks for the help, really great video =)
how do you get rid of an invalid argument , it is driving me crazy , thanks
incomplete video yay, autorun.inf?
Really helpful video, was a bit dubious as to using this program but you have cleared it very easily, thank you!
Can you use Yumi in Linux?
Thanks for the video!
I have installed two operating systems on my USB say I wanted to add another three, how can I do this? Do I have to re format the USB or what? (This is after I have installed the two operating systems and have fully closed and shutdown the computer).
Please somebody reply ASAP!
Hmm I have always used sardu. I am going to have to give yumi a shot.
The Sindraug25 question is the same as mine. How do you add ISOs that is not in the Yumi list?
How do I add ISOs that I already have but are not on the list?
Com on you said Multi boot
where is it
Do you know what is a multi boot is
means you can install win7, 8 XP vista all from one USB and trouble shoot
ALL IN ONE
Camtasia Studio
Yumi is one of my favorite tools for creating multiboots – Thanks for the great video Brian! BTW, what software do you use to create your videos?
yeah i have used it, its a good program.
what's you opinion of the program SARDU
also, If you "try" a distro this way, will any files made be saved to the flash drive for future use? Or like updates or.. you get the point.
Having a bit of trouble. You dont cover the boot process in this video. I have my computers (more than one) set up to boot via usb. I have all my distros installed. When I boot the usb, all i get is "syslinux 4.06 EDD 2012-10-23 (c) 1994-2012 H. Peter Anvin et al " everything stops there. The drive is formatted to fat32, there is nothing else on the disc, install files text in green, distros were on the list (deleted the one not on the list)
oh yes

Try to use the WinSetupFromUSB 0.2.3. I'll use this to setup the windows xp on any computer, notebook or netbook. But make sure that your flash drive is bootable.
I was wandering. Im wanting to have a full OS called zorin on my flashdrive, and have yumi to have other live troubleshooting tools. Also I will have 7 installed on the inside the local hard drive. It will boot from the USB of course though. Think its possible?
i installed backtrack and win 8 on my usb, when i restarted my computer the boot manager just simply display the multiboot operating system and started to boot in my os tat i installed on HDD..what should i do??
Thanks Chunk for the kind words and support.
Britec. I like you and I appreciate what you do! You have saved me many, many hours of tired eyes. I look forward to supporting what you do, thank you!
Once I create the usb when I reboot my machine do I have to edit BIOS settings? if not how do I boot from it? I'm running win7 and I'm pretty lost if you can help I'd be grateful mate.
thanks,
I put Windows 7 on my pen drive via Yumi using the directions given here and when I try to use my pen drive to boot up my desktop, I get an 'error 27' prompt as it attempts to use the Win7.iso on the pen drive. Is this normal? Is there a way to correct this?
Hi Brian, quick question, how do I use Yumi to install kon-boot? I've seen your video on kon-boot, but since I don't have it as an .iso and need it in a multiboot USB, how do I do it?
Thanks
